A two sheet, two-page photocopy of James Acord's London itinerary between 2–13 September 1998. This is copied from a hand-annotated original and has Acord's blue ink comment at top, "well, it was a lot more full then [sic] this!!!"

A copy of James Acord's London Transport and Imperial College access IDs. These are annotated with "would you give this man 24 houre [sic] access to a Physics Lab?? My swipe card" and "and, nearley [sic] 54, I have finally become an..." pointing to the word "Adult."

A photocopied sixteen sheet, sixteen page handwritten letter from James Acord to his friends. Not dated, but notes that it is 1.5 weeks into his residency, and thus September 1998.
Page 1 concerns the difficulty of travel, his appreciation for Linley [Storm], and a first-day meeting with The Arts Catalyst, Imperial College, and the British Association for the Advancement of Science.
Page 2 concerns showing up to the meeting underdressed and his good choices in where to live [Rob La Frenais' flat in Hackney], which he describes well.
Page 3 concerns his commute to the Imperial College and the intensity of social life in London.
Page 4 concerns access to the College and to Blackett Laboratory, and a description of his office.
Page 5 concerns the artists-in-residency, the music group "Sinfonia 21," and more description of his office.
Page 6 concerns a deeper description of his commute, a recollection of Peter Bevis driving in Wales, and a cello-player in the underground wayway from Imperial College to the South Kensington tube station.
Page 7 is more description of Rob La Frenais' flat in Hackney, and some directions on how people should address correspondece to him, and contact him.
Page 8 affords his office address, more on "Sinfonia 21," and the contact information at The Arts Catalyst.
Page 9 concerns Cardiff University in Wales, Acord's lecture there, press interviews, and about the birds in the region.
Page 10 expresses more gratitude for Linley [Storm], and iterates through the support his friends have afforded him.
Page 11 concerns The Arts Catalyst Education Director Marisa Lea, his intern at Imperial College, Ellie Kidson, and spending time with her.
Page 12 starts with a joke about Carhartts, and then describes Jim Gibb, the Technical Services Manager at the Blackett Physics Laboratory, and more information on the workplaces.
Page 13 recalls discussions and concerns in the workplace about the atomic artwork, and more on Jim Gibb.
Page 14 describes Acord's physical (from broken ribs jumping the Hanford Studio fence) and emotional (anxiety, discomfort) suffering, and then explores the sources of his stress.
Page 15 expresses Acord's difficulty hearing and understanding everyone, and then switches to gratitude for the experience, describing the quality of the day (21 September).
Page 16 concerns how working and sculpting bring him comfort, mentions that he will take it one day at a time, and closes the letter.

A single sheet, two-page handwritten letter from James Acord to Janet, Edward, and [Push] Button [the cat] Galore, dated 25 September 1998. This letter concerns: (1) Acord forgetting the Galores' address; (2) Linley [Storm] getting him on the plane to London, and his pleasure making sculpture at the shop; (3) possibly making five reliquaries, when three were planned; (4) Acord's improving lectures and his reticence to press interviews; (5) Acord's thanks for visiting the Galores' home and having friends over; (6) on the book "A Beautiful Mind"; (7) hope for Janet and Edward's employment; (8) the likelihood that the Imperial College residency will extend.

Two empty Imperial College envelopes from James Acord to Edward Galore, sent on 28 October 1998, with additional materials.
It is not known what was contained in these two envelopes. One has "Edward" in print handwriting, and the other in cursive, both from Acord's hand.

A birthday card for someone born in 1944, modified and signed by and for James Acord. This was modified in Autumn 1998, while James Acord was in London.
