Two photocopied sheets, single-sided, of James Acord's "Tc (N) Ru" transmutation plan drawing. This described the transmutation of Technetium to Ruthenium using Americium as a beta source and Beryllium as a neutron source.
One copy has "Go!" written on it in orange highlighter, in an unknown hand.

A clipping from the November 1998 issue of *Harper's Magazine* of Ken Silverstein's article "The Radioactive Boy Scout" on David Hahn. This is a 14-page, 7-sheet article, pages 59–72 of the issue.
It is not known if this was something sent from James Acord to Janet Galore, or something that Janet Galore added to the collection.

A 9-page, single-sided, corner-stapled photocopied packet of a memo from the CLUI (Center for Land Use Interpretation) in Kennewick, WA, titled "CLUI PNW EWO INITIATES HANFORD SITE EXPLORATION."
The first sheet describes the sites that were examined by the CLUI personnel.
The following five sheets are copies of photos illustrating the sites examined.
The final three sheets are about a rabid bat caught in Hanford's 3709A Fire Station on 24 September 1998.

Four identical copies of a grant proposal by James Acord for the "creation of sculpture using neutron capture to transmute radioactive waste to a non-radioactive precious metal," converting Technetium to Ruthenium in collaboration with physicist David Wark.
Each packet includes: (1) 3-page proposal with headers "Partnership," "Project Title and Project Summary," "Project Development," "Work Plan and Time Scale," "Outcome," "Budget," "Partnership's Rights," "Managerial Expertise and Effective Partnership," "Research and Development to Date," and "Identifying and Reaching the Audience"; (2) 1-page CV of James Acord; (3) 1-page CV of David Wark; (4) a color photocopy of Acord's 1998 installation "NO ACCESS."
In a letter included in the overall packet in which these proposals were found, it suggests that these four copies may have been intended for distribution to Linley Storm, Tom Putnam, and Philip Schuyler, with one to be maintained by Janet Galore.

A 28-page, single-sided photocopy of Philip Schuyler's article (first part) on James Acord in The New Yorker, "Moving to Richland I", published on 14 October 1991.
The pages of this copy are held together by binder clip. There are no annotations on the article copy.

A copy of a printout of "Nuking Nukes," an article by Charles Platt, published in Wired, February 1999. This notes "For Jim, Peter, Paul..."
This highlights one of Acord's later passions: working to transmute nuclear waste into inert material.

A cover letter copy from Lu Sham, Director of the Institute for Pure and Applied Physical Science at the University of California, San Diego to James Acord, dated 25 January 1995, asking Acord to provide a critical evaluation of Dr. John Asmus. This includes Asmus' eleven-page resume [redacted].
Acord has written a note on the cover letter page in red ink, and added emphasis to an item on the Fremont Arts Foundry on page seven of the resumé.

Acord's note states "Remember, do __not__ find mutant species at Hanford or you will loose [sic] your funding!"
