This is a note from James Acord to Janet and Edward Galore on a double-sided photocopy of an article by Wanda Briggs for the Tri-City Herald titled "Hanford laboratory eyed by Hollywood, others." This article concerns the Fuels and Materials Examination Facility (FMEF) at Hanford, a large building that was underused at the time. A note from Acord in red ink is on the first page, suggesting that he and the Galores write a proposal to use the space as a cultural center.

The first sheet is a photocopied letter from Bob Seidel to James Acord on 3 March 1995 thanking him for presenting at Argonne the week before. He also notes an article on Acord in the Idaho Falls Post Register, which he included in the original letter. Bob concludes by asking him if Acord would "like to have some of the material we separate when our Fuel Cycle Facility starts up?" Acord has written on this copied letter in red ink with a joke for the Galores.
The following two sheets are photocopies of printed messages from "The American Nuclear Society Discussion List on Public Information", recto only, printed by Bob Seidel for Acord. These sheets include messages from Morgan Brown, Jim Muckerheide, and Michael Mihalka on the topics of power reactor performance numbers, and news on nuclear deals and nuclear reactors. On the first page, Acord has written a joke in red ink.

Sheets 1–4 are single-sided photocopies from the program for the Columbia Basin Technical Conference & Trade Show at the Red Lion Inn & Columbia Basin College, Pasco, WA, 28–29 March 1995. Acord has written a letter in red ink on the cover, calling this packet "The Asmus File," and narrates his history with and connection to John Asmus, laser physicist. John Asmus' contributions to the conference are highlighted.
Sheet 5 is a two-sided September 1994 issue of "Technology Bulletin" from Westinghouse Hanford Company. This has a photograph of John Asmus on its cover, which Acord has added a note to.
Sheet 6 is a photocopy of a 1-page letter from John Asmus at UCSD to James Acord, 28 December 1994. It asks about the Guggenheim Foundation, mentions "Dann Flesher", and Asmus' current efforts.
Sheet 7 is a photocopy of a 1-page letter from Lu Sham at UCSD to James Acord, 25 January 1995. It notes that John Asmus is up for a promotion and requests Acord's critical evaluation for consideration.
Sheets 8-18 are John Asmus' resumé. On sheet 14, Acord has highlighted that John Asmus noted his support with Acord's "Nuclear Sculpture" at the Fremont Fine Arts Foundry in 1993.

Three-sheet packet on the "Future Prospects for Medical Isotopes at Hanford and the Tri-Cities" conference at the Tower Inn, Richland, WA, 17 March 1995. This was send by Acord to Janet and Edward Galore in advance of the conference, on 15 March 1995, in an envelope of materials.
The first sheet notes the organizers and sponsors of the conference. James Acord is noted as a "private business" organizer, and Acord underlines this.
The second sheet notes the (partial) conference agenda, which includes Acord speaking between 11:45 AM and 12:00 PM on "The public's perspective on the role of Hanford in supplying medical isotopes." Acord has circled the "Tower Inn" location, noting that he had been there with the Galores.
The third sheet is a "Hanford Isotope Program Plan" created by Acord, for the conference. Acord's marginalia is on this sheet as well.

A letter from James Acord to Janet and Edward Galore, n.d., in an envelope dated 15 March 1995. This is on the back of a color photocopy of a photograph of Acord's Hanford Nuclear Sculpture Works Studio (March, 1995).
This letter: (1) describes the contents of the envelope as "slice-of-life" materials to keep the Galores informed; (2) Acord's joy with his cat Eddie; (3) his studio heater breaking and his reliance on a small heater gifted by the Galores; (4) a visit from Dale [Travous] and Peter [Bevis], in which they were listening to "F*ck" by The Hafler Trio — a CD given to Acord by the Galores — and they heard Dale's Tesla coil discharge on the recording.

This is the 3 pages of Acord's draft proposal for artist-in-residency at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, n.d. [August 1994].

A photocopy of a 8 May 1994 article by Mike Fox for the Tri-City Herald titled "Scientist finds Oregon ads misleading." This is a critique of advertisements for Hanford funded by the Oregon Health Division.

This is a cover letter with a list appended, representing those that were in attendance for James Acord's talk in April [?] 1994 at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute. The letter is from Maureen Nappi, dated 26 April 1994, and shows her business card.

A 3-sheet, 4-page application form filled out by James Acord for the Western States Arts Federation (WESTAF) New Genres Fellowship, 28 February 1994. This includes: (1) an artist statement; (2) a description of visual materials; and (3) the 2-page form with slide list and additional information. This copy is a photocopy of the original.
