This is Acord's "Mending Fences" letter to Carey Young and James Flint, undated, c. 8 May 2002.
This letter describes: (1) an apology for a delay in response, noting that the "only thing I do well is sculpture"; (2) a wish to mend the friendship; (3) Acord's situation since the "Hanford studio burned"; (4) Acord's limited computer resources and interests in collaboration; (5) Acord's mental health issues and the concern of his friends; (6) an overreaction, and a draft email sent; (7) an apology to Carey Young; (8) withdrawing on the "Atomica" show and retreating to work at the Starlight Hotel; (9) work on the "Fourth Reliquary" and gathering Americium from smoke detectors; (10) recent drawings; (11) some recent patronage; (12) another apology noting that he is "not good with people."
